Riverside Plaza I has been in business since 1985; Riverside Plaza II since 1997, for a total of 38 years.
Riverside Plaza I was started by The Senior Citizen Foundation of Douglas in 1985. Its vision was to provide affordable senior citizen housing to the elderly and disabled for the community.
In 1997, Riverside Plaza II was built with a walkway attached to Riverside Plaza I and the Douglas Senior Center. Riverside Plaza II was built to provide additional affordable senior citizen housing.
Our Mission
The mission for Riverside Plaza I and Riverside Plaza II is to provide affordable housing for senior citizens of sixty-two years of age or older as well as for persons with disabilities who are eligible according to HUD guidelines.
Our Goal
Our goal is to empower the residents and to promote an independent, self-sufficient, and quality lifestyle where the residents living in these housing projects can be assured of their right to privacy and confidentiality.

Checks, Money Orders, and Cash when necessary; however, we avoid cash payments whenever possible.
